5th Annual Beverly Levy Walk Discovery To Cure
September 17, 2017 – Payne Whitney Gym– New Haven, CT
|THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HELPED MAKE YESTERDAY A TRUE SUCCESS. We were over 400 people strong that came together to help raise funds for reproductive cancer research!!|
Discovery to Cure, an internationally recognized program of the Yale School of Medicine, was launched in 2003 and is dedicated to advancing new methods of prevention, early detection and treatment of women’s reproductive cancers in order to lead to a cure.
Funds raised through last year’s event enabled Discovery to Cure to provide four research grants to Yale School of Medicine laboratories undertaking promising research in women’s reproductive cancers. This would not have been possible without your support. Cancer research grants from government sources are decreasing, making your support even more important and meaningful than ever.
The Walk is named in honor of its founder Beverly Levy, a local woman who was fighting her own battle against ovarian cancer when she launched this walk through Yale’s campus in 2013. Sadly, we lost Beverly in 2014. The Walk continues in memory of Beverly’s vision, determination and remarkable energy.
Thank you for your continued support and for bringing hope and strength to women diagnosed with a reproductive cancer. Your donations bring us closer to finding new methods of prevention, early detection, treatment and cures for these deadly diseases. Your participation brings hope to women who are waiting for the treatments that will save their lives. Thank you for bringing hope to them and to us.
